History Of Kasauli

Kasauli is a charming hill station located in Himachal Pradesh, India. Its history dates back to the early 19th century, when it was founded by the British. They established Kasauli as a cantonment town in 1842, making it a popular retreat from the heat of the plains. The British were drawn to Kasauli for its pleasant climate and scenic beauty.

Before British rule, the area was inhabited by the local Gorkhas. The town’s name is believed to be derived from the word “Kasuli,” which was a reference to the local wild herbs. Over time, Kasauli developed into a serene hill station with colonial-era architecture, including charming churches and historic buildings.

The institution in Kasauli set up in 1900, is the earliest in Indian, looking after pet, cops and military pets as well as their experts. Part by side another institution generates other vaccinations, this is the Main Research Institute providing resistance from Typhoid, small-pox [which has been eradicated], chlorea and snake-bite. The Shimla Mountains stand on a water separating between the Sutlej and the Giri, a tributary of the Yamuna. Southern of Shimla is the Panchmunda variety which is surpassed by a train through a canal (the lengthiest in the Kalka – Shimla run) at Barog, where a sequence of fissure to rises happen at its flank. the first variety above Kalka increases suddenly to pineclad Kasauli at a size of 1,927 metres and is signed up with by a 12 Km bridle direction. The range by street, however, from Kalka is 36.5 Km.
