Nestled in the lap of Himachal Pradesh, Dalhousie carries the echoes of its colonial past. Established by the British in the mid-19th century as a summer retreat, this quaint hill station still retains its old-world charm. Named after Lord Dalhousie, the then British Viceroy of India, Dalhousie served as a strategic outpost during the British Raj. Today, remnants of its colonial architecture, including churches, schools, and bungalows, stand as a testament to its rich history.
Unlike several other mountain channels of Himachal Pradesh, Dalhousie is preferred among those who search for isolation and restfulness.
