Sangla

Situated at the height of 2860 meters the largest and the most beautiful village of sangla is also Tehsil Headquarter 18 km from Karchham. A link road that goes off the National Highway No. 22 in to the Sangla or Baspa valley offers an glorious vista at every curve. The valley opens up beyond Sangla and is full of wooded slopes as far as Chitkul the last inhabited village in the valley of Sangla surrounded by green fields and high mountains. Kamru village situated at a distance of 2 km from Sangla at the height of 2800 meters offer a panoramic view of fertile land of Sangla valley and high rise mountains. Kamru has a double storey temple which is dedicated to Badri Nath and a Budhist Gompa. There is another ancient temple dedicated to Bhimakali The Kinner Kailash peak (6050 meters) dominates the view.
