The recent influx of a large number of migratory birds to the three main wetlands of Shimla has feared the local residents regarding bird flu which has affected many birds in China.
As millions of birds migrate to Shimla’s wetlands from all over the world, the locals fear that bird flu, which has hit many parts of China, might spread in Shimla too.
Mahajan, Animal Husbandry Minister said that senior veterinary doctors have been briefed about this problem and the Government is taking various measures to prevent bird flu from entering Shimla.
