Zoroastrianism was founded by Prophet Zorathustra of Persia (Iran) in 6th century B.C. Today this religion survives among the Parsis of India. When Islam came to Persia, they persecuted the followers of Zorathustra, who fled to India. They landed on the coast of Gujrat. Prophet Zorathustra said that there exist twin spirits in the universe, Ahura Mazada (the good), and Ahriman (the evil), and the life is an unending battle between the two. The Parsis worship sun and fire as they represent Ahura Mazda. The holy book of Parsis is Avesta-e-Zend, which contains the teachings of Zorathustra in the form of songs.
