Sikhism was founded by Guru Gobind Singh who was tenth guru in the line of Guru Nanak only four centuries back. Guru Nanak believed in the fundamental unity of all religions. The hold book of Sikhs is Guru Granth Sahib. This hold book is a marvelous collection of the verses of saints influenced by Hindu thought, in a most consolidated manner. Majority of Hindus living in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi take guidance from Guru Granth Sahib. Gurudwaras are the centres for social & cultural activities besides religious for the people living in these areas. It was collected and consolidated during the time of Guru Gobind Singh.
