Baba Barbhag Singh Mela:
The
festival of Baba Barbhag Singh held at Mairi in Una district.
In the month of Februrary and dedicated to sage Baba Barbhag Singh was
renowed for his spritual powers
Ritual
dances and an unbelievably rich imager mark Lossar.This is celebrated
in Buddhist areas throughout the state-while Lahaul's monasteries have
some of the most spectacular performances. On its, eve the stylished Chhaam
dance and elaborate costumes and masks, commemorate the assassination of
the cruel Tibetian King. Langdrama in the 9th centuary offen though wrongly called
the devil dance,it symbolises the triumph of good over evil.
