I come from a family of teachers, and so "there is no such thing as a stupid question" was part of my cultural heritage.
I used to believe it, too, until once when I got an email message from a stranger. This is the complete message:

"Help! I can send email, but I can't receive it! What do I do????"

I have decided that there is, in fact, at least one stupid question.
