Various students from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Dharmshala, and Students from Dental College Solan, Kangra, Sundernagar and the students of Ayuervedic College Paprola staged a massive protest challenging the Union Government's proposed reservation policy.


All the students gathered at Indira Gandhi Medical College in morning and took out a procession in the streets. They bunt the effigy of Union Minister for Human Resources Development Arjun Singh and shouted slogans against him. The public, including tourists and school children, went through a great deal of inconvenience due to traffic jams by the students.


Now the time has come to take strong decision if want to grow more, and reservation must be stopped in higher institutes. After the fifty-five years of independence we cannot move with the decision like reservation in education, professional institutes.

now our govt wana repeat the history ,of 1991,92.i think they forget that pain ,those screams,life change to death in few seconds of the youngsters ,that,s why they again want to see that seen again ,they never think about the carriers of a middle class person who is having capabilty,ambition ,and good efforts is rejected because he is not having a certificate of being SCorST orBackward classor a rural area ,just think yhat a person of upper class easily get the admisson by Donations and pulls ,alower class person get the admisson by showing his SC orST certificate but govt never thinked about the middle class person where he will go he is not having enfough money to give donation or not having any resrved class certificate ,now its all in the hands of our politicians now they have to think about the country to make it heaven or hell
