Nako Lake is located in the Pooh sub-division of the district Kinnaur at an altitude of 3662 metres above sea level. The lake is surrounded by willow and poplar trees.

On the northern side of the lake, there are four Buddhist temples. Near Nako, one can see footprint-like impression which are assumed to be the footprints of the saint Padmasambhava.
