The Department of Education clarified yesterday that JBT or ETT courses run in other states were not recognised for the purpose of employment in the state.

The government has taken this step in answer to the institutes from nearby states who are opening their study centre in the state and making fool of the students by saying these centres as recognised by the State.

State has made it clear by annoucing that state conducted its own competitive examination for admission to JBT course and the students obtaining diplomas from outside the state were not considered for appointment in the state. Further, no ETT course had been envisaged in the state and there was no ETT cadre in the Education Department.
