Camping is  perhaps the best way to explore nature. You can carry your own gear along with you or opt for any of several camps that are situated in various parts of Himachal Pradesh. These camps offer accomodation, catering and lot of other activities like hiking, nature tours and river rafting most of these  camps offer best quality servicies. Himachal Tourism has camps at Sarchu in lahaul velley  and in addition to built accomodation, tents are also available at Sangla and Kalpa in Kinnaur and Kaza in Spiti. Beside this Youth Hostel Association of India also run camps at Kullu & Manali and Dalhousie. Camps also run by private  sector are in Sangla Valley and Kalpa in Kinnaur at Tabo in Spiti at Dharamshala in Kangra, Shoja near Kullu and Mashobra and Baldian near Shimla.
